It wasn’t too long ago that the University of Michigan was receiving pretty heavy backlash due to their hesitation when it came to NIL. Now, in large part thanks to collectives such as the Valiant Management Group, Michigan is one of the top NIL schools in the country. Players like running back Blake Corum and quarterback JJ McCarthy consistently receive major NIL deals. Now, defensive back Mike Sainristil has decided to join in on the fun.

Not even a full year ago, ‘M Den’ began selling trading cards with Michigan football players on them. Now, this appears to be moving in the direction of being a consistent product as they continue to sell improved versions.

So far, Cornelius Johnson, Junior Colson and Roman Wilson each have autographed cards available for purchase. Most recently, Mike Sainristil and ‘M Den’ are releasing two types of cards, each to be autographed by Sainristil himself.

The former wide receiver turned defensive back found some major stardom in 2022. From his do it all nature to his big-time pass breakup versus Ohio State, he quickly became a fan favorite. On the season, he recorded 58 total tackles, two sacks, one interception and seven passes deflected. He was absolutely electric during the season and his trading card should reflect it.

The card will come in two different designs, “Blue Lightning” and “Maize Lightning.” In total, there will be 100 cards available, but only 10 “Maize Lightning” cards will be available.

The cards will be available to be purchased starting Thursday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. EST. The “Blue Lightning” card will be available for $50 while “Maize Lightning” will be available for $100 due to limited supply. Once the cards are released, they’ll be available for purchase at the official ‘M’ Den website.
