On Tuesday, Michigan football received yet another Crystal Ball for 2024 5-star QB prospect, Jadyn Davis. This makes five 247 Sports Crystal Balls for Davis to head to Ann Arbor so far — the Wolverines are the only team to receive a Crystal Ball for Davis.

Who is Jadyn Davis?

Jadyn Davis is a 2024 5-star quarterback prospect from Charlotte, North Carolina. According to 247 Sports, Davis is the No. 19 player in the nation, No. 3 quarterback, and the No. 1 player in North Carolina in his class.

Seeing as Michigan’s current quarterback — rising junior JJ McCarthy — could be headed out the door after this season, Michigan football could use a talented QB like Davis in its 2024 recruiting class.

Jadyn Davis stands just over 6 feet tall and weighs in at 190 lbs. Here are some main talking points from 247’s Andrew Ivins:

“Solid pocket presence for his age, but athletic and creative enough to keep plays alive. Can move the chains with his legs. Doesn’t put himself in many risky situations. Peers consider him a leader in the huddle,” Ivins said. “Should develop into one of the top passers in the 2024 cycle with the right coaching and mindset.”

247 Sports sees Davis as being a Power-5 Starter; he should develop into an elite quarterback, one that could be the future of Michigan football.

Michigan football: 2024 class

Thus far in the 2024 recruiting class, Michigan football has four hard commits and the 13th-ranked overall and composite class in the country. Of Michigan’s four commits in the 2024 class, three of them are 247 Sports 4-star players. Davis would be Michigan’s first 5-star player since Will Johnson in 2022.

Davis would bring up the Wolverines’ 2024 class tenfold and, frankly, would improve Michigan’s chances of maintaining its current status as one of the top teams in the nation.
