This weekend, Michigan football will take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers for the team’s first road game of the 2023 season. The Wolverines, who just downed Rutgers by 24 points last weekend, have a few injury issues to work through, including with right tackle Myles Hinton. Additionally, transfer tackle LaDarius Henderson and others will be rotating in and out on the offensive line (according to Sherrone Moore). Here are some of the latest updates from Schembechler Hall.

Michigan Football Updates: OL and injuries heading into Week 5

Myles Hinton injury info from Sherrone Moore

This afternoon, Michigan football OC Sherrone Moore gave a status update on Myles Hinton and his injury. Below is the latest.

“He had a little little thing that he’s working through,” Sherrone Moore said on Wednesday. “He came back in, working through it. He’ll practice today and be fine.”

Offensive line rotation with LaDarius Henderson and others

Additionally, Moore says that — injury or not — the Michigan football offensive line wants to see more rotation from LaDarius Henderson and others. It will take ten guys, Moore says, to get the Wolverines where they want to be.

“LD (LaDarius Henderson) has just proved that he’s such a good player,” Sherrone Moore explained. “And he’s been so reliable, and he’s just improved every week. So had to give him the opportunity, and did really well, so we’ll continue to rotate those guys, work those guys in. It always helps to keep guys fresh. When I played (at Oklahoma), we rotated like eight or nine guys, so I think that’s really going to help. We’re gonna need everybody. We need 10 guys to take us to where we need to be.”

Michigan football set for Week 5 against Nebraska on Saturday

On Saturday, Michigan football has a chance to improve to 5-0 on the year when it takes on Nebraska (2-2, 0-1 Big Ten). The weekend after, the Wolverines stay on the road, traveling to Minnesota for a Week 6 bout against the Golden Gophers.
