Juwan Howard is heading into his fourth season as the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines basketball program. So far, the Maize and Blue have seen their fair share of ups and downs under Howard, winning a Big Ten title and making two strong NCAA tournament runs before getting bounced from the NIT last year. Heading into the 2023-24 season, Howard is hitting the transfer portal and recruiting trail hard in an attempt to solidify a positive future for the Maize and Blue. Recently, it was confirmed that Michigan is in pursuit of a major four-star big man in the 2025 class.

Recently, it was reported that the Michigan Wolverines basketball recruiting efforts have heavily focused on four-star 2025 big man Rocco Zikarsky, who is a standout in his recruiting class.

According to the ON3 rankings, Rocco Zikarsky is a four-star big man, ranked as the No. 13 player in the nation. He is a massive 7-foot-3 standout performer from Australia, making him one of the most sought-after recruits in the nation. Reports indicate that several teams have already contacted Zikarsky, with the Wolverines leading the charge as one of the first teams to do so.

Since Rocco Zikarsky is a member of the 2025 recruiting class, it is too early to determine where the Michigan Wolverines basketball program stands in his recruitment. However, Juwan Howard has shown early interest, suggesting that the Maize and Blue could be a major contender for this highly-ranked big man in the future.

As Michigan basketball looks to get back on track heading into the new year, this is a top recruitment to watch for Maize and Blue fans, and could be a huge pick-up for the Wolverines down the road.
