Recruiting is about to pick up in college football as recruits will start taking official visits this weekend. The month of June needs to be a good one for Michigan football.

The Wolverines have just five commitments. That can be explained away due to the coaching change and many of the assistants especially on defense, leaving for the NFL.

The good news is that Michigan is getting a number of highly-ranked prospects on campus this month. One of those is four-star safety JaDon Blair.

Out of Winston Salem, North Carolina, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound safety is ranked No. 160 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s also ranked as the No. 12 safety. Blair has five official visits scheduled including one to Michigan football and he’s set to make a decision on July 5th.

There are five teams still in the mix. According to the On3 prediction machine, Notre Dame is the favorite. The Irish will host Blair for an official visit. They hosted him for an unofficial visit this spring. Michigan football did the exact same thing. The Wolverines got him on campus for a visit during the spring and he’ll visit the Wolverines in June too.

Blair’s first visit will be to South Carolina. Then, it will be Florida State and Notre Dame, before Michigan takes its turn. Penn State will get the last visit. The Nittany Lions have also hosted Blair for the most visits in 2024 (3) but they still have work to do. U-M does too. There aren’t any crystal ball projections and this is another recruitment that will come down to visits.
