Charles Woodson Jr. earned an offer from Michigan, he announced on social media Wednesday. Woodson Jr. is the son of Wolverines legend and 1997 Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson.
Woodson Jr. is entering his junior season at Lake Nona (Orlando, FL) and is ranked as a four-star prospect on 247Sports.
Will Charles Woodson Jr. follow his father’s footsteps?
The 5-foot-11, 155-pounder had a breakout season as a sophomore in 2024, totaling 53 tackles, two pass breakups, one fumble recovery and one interception. Woodson Jr. also holds offers from Florida State, Iowa State, Kentucky and more.
Woodson Jr.’s father is widely considered to be one the greatest defensive backs of all-time. The elder Woodson was drafted No. 4 overall by the Oakland Raiders in 1998 and played 18 seasons in the NFL before ending up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Woodson won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1998 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2009, as well as Super Bowl XLV.
The Wolverines currently have zero pledges from the 2027 class. In the class of 2026, Michigan has commitments from QB Brady Smigiel, WR Jaylen Pile, TEs Matt Ludwig and Mason Bonner, OL Bear McWhorter, CB Brody Jennings and EDGE Tariq Boney.
