After ripping off two of the longest runs in national title game history, Michigan football star running back Donovan Edwards announced that he will be returning to Ann Arbor for his senior season — a campaign that will likely see him take over as RB1 now that Blake Corum is leaving. This week, Edwards brought exposure to a cause he holds dear — his faith — by posting his recent trip to Saline High School for “Fellow Christian Athletes” to speak to some of the young people there.

Michigan football star Donovan Edwards looking to make an impact for local community

Donovan Edwards is a superstar on the gridiron for Michigan football; off the field, he is one of the most beloved people in his local community. Since arriving in Ann Arbor, fans around the state have come to love Edwards’ rushing abilities and unique personality, which has largely kept him in the spotlight ever since his impressive 200+ yard performance against the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2022.

On top of a bright personality, Edwards is known for being very open about something that he holds dear: his Christian faith. The Michigan football star is a devout Christian and has taken every opportunity — including his recent trip to Saline High School for Fellow Christian Athletes — to make a difference in that regard.

Below is the clip that Edwards revealed of his recent speech to SHS students. Once again, it’s clear that Edwards is looking to make a positive impact on his local Michigan community.
