Michigan football recruiting is on a roll right now. Whatever narratives rivals want to push, Michigan football has landed eight commitments in the past two weeks.

The Wolverines have landed two top-100 commitments. They have a top-15 recruiting class in 2025 and nine of them are blue-chip prospects, which is a blue-chip ratio of 75 percent.

That’s quality recruiting regardless of the program. But Michigan football isn’t done. They have been trending with another top-100 target, Andrew Marsh, as well as one of the top elite tight ends in 2025, Andrew Olesh.

Michigan football is also trending up for top-100 running back Jordon Davison. He visited Ann Arbor recently and this past weekend, was at Ohio State.

The interest has cooled there. Maybe it’s from the Ohio State side of things, but Oregon is still pushing hard and according to Steve Wiltfong of On3.com, the Ducks are the biggest contender along with Michigan football.

Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider reported that the Wolverines “knocked it out of the park” on their visit with Davison on the weekend of June 14th. The Mater Dei prospect out of California is 6 feet, 216 pounds, and ranked 96th overall according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings.

Michigan has landed two running backs already but Donovan Johnson has been recovering from an injury. Johnson is making progress and is closer to 100 percent but that hasn’t stopped U-M from wanting a third back and I believe that it’s because Davison is a top-100 talent.

The Wolverines landed Jordan Marshall in 2024 and if they follow it up with Davison, in addition to Jasper Parker and Johnson, the running back room will be set for years to come.
