LA COUNTY — The Rose Bowl is just a few days away, and the Wolverines‘ quarterback room appears to be in fantastic shape. This afternoon, we were able to go to So-Fi Stadium for a pre-Rose Bowl Michigan football open practice, where we saw JJ McCarthy, Jadyn Davis, and Alex Orji throwing some darts.

Alex Orji
The first quarterback we saw throw today was Michigan football sophomore Alex Orji — a player that many think could be in contention for the QB1 role next year. Leading up to the Rose Bowl against Alabama, Orji has been compared often to Bama QB Jalen Milroe, generating a lot of new hype ahead of the 2024 season.
JJ McCarthy
Next, we saw JJ McCarthy dropping back and getting in some reps. Of course, he has an NFL decision to make after the 2023 season comes to an end, so Michigan fans should take this in while they still can.
Jadyn Davis
Lastly, we saw four-star 2024 Michigan quarterback signee Jadyn Davis, who is with the team during Rose Bowl practices this week. Below are clips of Davis throwing an impressive pass today, as well as Jim Harbaugh coaching him up during yesterday’s open practice in LA.
