Draft Kings Sportsbook sets high expectations for Michigan football’s 2023 season, putting them at the forefront of the Big Ten. After two consecutive Big Ten titles and a couple of College Football Playoff appearances, Jim Harbaugh and his team are ready to tackle what could be their best season yet in Ann Arbor. The initial win total betting lines project Michigan and Ohio State to lead the conference with the highest number of wins, but the Wolverines are undoubtedly the team to watch.

Draft Kings Sportsbook recently released its 2023 win total projections, including those for the Big Ten. The projected win total for Michigan football in 2023 opens at 10.5 wins, tying them with Ohio State for first place in the Big Ten conference. This surpasses the win total of the Penn State Nittany Lions, which has been set at 9.5 for this year.

Despite losing a significant amount of talent ahead of last season, the Wolverines exceeded expectations that were set during their 12-2 campaign in 2021, compiling an impressive 13-1 season in 2022, making it the winningest single season in Michigan football history. With over 80% of their production returning from last year and more, Michigan football is poised to take the next step and potentially contend for the program’s first-ever national title game berth.

Michigan’s path to success is aided by a favorable schedule, although a challenging road test awaits in Happy Valley, as well as the highly anticipated showdown against Ohio State in Ann Arbor to conclude the regular season. Barring any significant setbacks such as injuries, the Michigan Wolverines seem well-prepared for the season, with a promising outlook ahead.
