After a series of massive commitments for the Wolverines, Jim Harbaugh’s 2024 recruiting class is ranked No. 2 nationally and sits atop of the Big Ten standings. On March 31st, the Wolverines landed the crown jewel of their 2024 class: five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, who will be the piece that Michigan builds the class around. In fact, Davis is already hard at work on the recruiting trail with Harbaugh & Co. and is targeting the nation’s top-ranked interior offensive lineman: Waltclaire Flynn Jr.
Michigan football and Jadyn Davis are hard at work on the 2024 recruiting trail
The current Michigan football recruiting class is the best (so far) that many fans have seen in quite some time. If the momentum continues, it has the potential to be one of the best classes that Jim Harbaugh has ever assembled in Ann Arbor — it currently ranks 2nd in the nation and 1st in the Big Ten conference.
With the addition of Jadyn Davis, the Michigan football recruiting class now has its prized possession and a key player that it can start to build a team around. In fact, no one is recruiting harder than Jadyn Davis is right now, and he is going after some of the nation’s top-ranked talent.
Davis is targeting Waltclaire Flynn Jr., the top-ranked interior lineman for 2024 class
Recently, Michigan’s new five-star commit called out the nation’s No. 1 interior offensive lineman in an attempt to sway him to Ann Arbor. Waltclaire Flynn Jr. — who ESPN and Rivals rank as the top interior lineman in the class — is on the top of Davis’s target list and could be someone that the Wolverines are closing in on.
Waltclaire Flynn Jr. is rated as a four-star offensive lineman by every recruiting outlet and is thought of as one of the nation’s best players in the class of 2024. If Jadyn Davis wants to win national titles while at Michigan — which he does — he will need a stellar offensive line, and he clearly knows that.
Shortly after committing to Michigan football, Davis sent a Tweet that publicly called for Flynn Jr. to consider joining him as a Wolverine — Flynn Jr. has been to Ann Arbor on one visit thus far (in late January) but is yet to make the trip back. While Davis’s call may have fallen on deaf ears, only time will tell, and it is good to see that future Wolverines are helping the staff on the recruiting trail, which will only make Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class much better in the long run.
