The signing of the 2025 recruiting class may still be more than a year away, but it has already become a prominent topic in the college football world. This is particularly true for Michigan football recruiting, as they have a significant advantage with the nation’s top recruit residing right in their backyard: Bryce Underwood, a five-star quarterback from Belleville High School. However, the competition for Underwood’s commitment has intensified recently, with both the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers extending offers to him within a few days this week.

No. 1 Michigan football recruiting target lands new SEC offers from Alabama, Auburn

In recent developments, two prominent SEC programs, the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers, have made enticing offers to Bryce Underwood, a highly sought-after five-star quarterback.

Underwood is currently the top target for Michigan football recruiting, regardless of class, and has yet to commit to any program. It’s worth noting that Underwood’s proximity to Ann Arbor, being just 20 minutes away, has generated significant interest from both him and Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of Michigan football.

According to the early predictions of ON3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, Michigan football is currently blazing a trail towards securing the coveted commitment of Bryce Underwood for their 2025 class. As the frontrunners in the scorching world of recruiting, the Wolverines have set their sights on Underwood in hopes of obtaining a five-star QB in back-to-back classes.

But let’s not forget, it’s still early in this electrifying process. Like a wild storm brewing, there’s a chance of unexpected changes if the Wolverines’ quarterback roster becomes a tempest of talent, particularly with another five-star recruit already locked in ahead of Underwood (Jadyn Davis). The heat is on, and only time will reveal if Michigan’s fiery pursuit of Underwood will burn bright until the very end.

Now, to be clear, these offers change nothing for Michigan football. Underwood is likely to receive offers from every single D1 program, considering he is the nation’s top recruit. However, it is starting to sink in that the Wolverines are about to face a barrage of major programs knocking on their door, hoping to lure the young five-star talent away from his home state.
