After the Wolverines’ 2022 Big Ten title and College Football Playoff run, former Michigan football player Nikhai Hill-Green — a linebacker — hit the transfer portal, following ex-Michigan coach Biff Poggi to Charlotte for the 2023 season. Now, after just one season with Poggi & Co., Hill-Green is back on the move, this time heading off to Big 12 country by transferring to the University of Central Florida (UCF).

In the early years of this decade, Nikhai Hill-Green saw some solid action for Michigan football as the Wolverines got back into Big Ten and national title contention. That said, seeing as the Maize and Blue had a stacked linebacker room this fall, the ex-Michigan linebacker hit the transfer portal during the spring, following one of his former coaches to Charlotte for the 2023 season.

Now, according to his social media, Nikhai Hill-Green is making a return to the Power 5 for the 2024 season, transferring to UCF for his fifth season of college ball.
During his time with Michigan football, the Pittsburgh, PA, native saw action in 17 games throughout the 2020 and 2021 seasons, though did not see the field during his junior year in 2022. Still, he managed to record 51 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one pass deflection during his Michigan career under Head Coach Jim Harbaugh.
With conference realignment happening, the CFP expanding and UCF moving to a Power 5 conference (the Big 12), Nikhai Hill-Green will once again be on one of the biggest stages in the sport as he looks to make himself a noted NFL Draft prospect for 2025.
