The University of Michigan football sign-stealing scandal has taken the national media cycle by storm, with analysts and writers calling the Wolverines “cheaters” due to what Connor Stalions is accused of. As Michigan’s College Football Playoff bout against the Alabama Crimson Tide approaches, legendary head coach Nick Saban was asked about the allegations and his team’s level of concern.
Nick Saban shares level of concern over Michigan football sign-stealing allegations
Nick Saban is perhaps the best college football head coach of all time — he has seven national titles, the most of any coach, and is looking to make it eight this season as his Crimson Tide gear up to face Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football in the Rose Bowl (College Football Playoff semi-final) on January 1, 2024.
Even without Connor Stalions, as well as Jim Harbaugh being suspended for six games this year, Michigan football has found itself with a 13-0 record, another win over Penn State, another win over Ohio State, and more. Heading into the Wolverines’ playoff bout against the Alabama Crimson Tide, Nick Saban was asked about the sign-stealing scandal, and it’s safe to say that he appears unconcerned with what is being alleged.
“(Alabama is) not really (concerned),” Nick Saban explained on Monday. “We always change things up a little bit. We’re focused on what we have to do to try to get good execution. We’re not really concerned about any of that stuff.”

Even though Stalions has since left the program, and Jim Harbaugh has served a second suspension this season, people are still buzzing about what may come of the Michigan football sign-stealing scandal. For now, however, the Wolverines are locked in on one single thing: beating Bama in the College Football Playoff and advancing to the national title game.
Michigan and Alabama will face off on January 1, 2024, in the Rose Bowl Game with their seasons — and perhaps even reputations — on the line.
