ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Last Friday, the Big Ten Conference took unprecedented action against the Wolverines by suspending Jim Harbaugh for games against No. 10 Penn State, Maryland, and No. 1 Ohio State. Michigan football fans were furious, especially since the conference did so on a court holiday and while the Wolverines’ plane was in the air en route to State College, PA, just hours from kicking off their biggest game of the 2023 season. Today, Harbaugh revealed yet another detail that has everyone fuming at Tony Petitti’s cowardice.

Michigan football fans are fuming at latest info from Jim Harbaugh on the Big Ten Conference

When the Big Ten Conference suspended Jim Harbaugh from the Michigan football sideline just hours from the Penn State game, Tony Petitti and the conference did not even tell Harbaugh or the Wolverines. Instead, they found out via social media that action was being taken just hours before playing a top-10 team in the toughest environment in all of college football: Beaver Stadium.

“Someone showed me their phone — via social media,” Jim Harbaugh said when asked about how he was informed that the Big Ten Conference has suspended him against Penn State and more.

Warde Manuel was most upset about how the Wolverines found out about the suspension

So, while Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football were in the air en route to a top 10 opponent, just hours from kickoff, the Big Ten Conference took unprecedented action against Harbaugh and his Wolverines without so much as a heads up. Harbaugh and the Michigan program as a whole found out the same way that fans did — by looking on Twitter and seeing that he had been suspended.

Warde (Manuel) was pretty upset,” Jim Harbaugh added. “He was on the plane too. He was pretty upset that (Michigan football) heard (of the Big Ten’s suspension) through social media.”

This Friday, Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football will face the Big Ten in court in hopes of obtaining a temporary restraining order — something that will allow Harbaugh to coach against Maryland this weekend and Ohio State next weekend. In case you missed it, below is our story on Jim Harbaugh breaking his silence on the suspension earlier today.
