Seeing as it’s May, the college football world is in the thick of recruiting season ahead of summer camp and, inevitably, the fall season, which is set to kick off for the Wolverines in early September. Recently, On3 updated its top 300 players in the nation, and a current Michigan football recruiting commit — linebacker Mason Curtis — ranks among the top 10 linebackers in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Michigan currently boasts the nation’s No. 1 class after recently landing a new commit — four-star wideout Channing Goodwin — to bring the class up to 16 hard commits in total. It’s an impressive class thus far, and moving forward, the Wolverines will look to keep their foot on the gas in hopes of landing even more major talent.

Major four-star Michigan football recruiting commit ranked among the top 10 in his class

The most recent updated On3 top 300 players list includes Michigan football recruiting commit Mason Curtis, a four-star linebacker, among the top 10 LB recruits in the nation. Curtis comes in just inside the top 10 (at No. 10) as well as ranking as the No. 133 player in the nation and the No. 3 overall recruit in Tennessee in the 2024 recruiting class.

In addition to On3’s high rankings, Mason Curtis is also a 247 Sports four-star composite linebacker; he is ranked as the No. 218 recruit in the nation, the No. 20 linebacker in his class, and the No. 2 recruit in Tennessee. The class is not done being evaluated yet, so all of this is subject to change throughout the 2024 high school football season; that being said, having a player of Curtis’s caliber already locked down in the 2024 class is impressive for Jim Harbaugh and his coaching staff.
