Fans who have been waiting for Michigan football recruiting to take off under head coach Sherrone Moore can rest easy because the good days are coming.

Positive news for Michigan football recruiting

Michigan football is starting to build some tangible momentum on the recruiting trail. The 2025 Michigan football recruiting class has just three commitments, but they are all solid. Carter Smith, a top-15 quarterback in 2025, is among those pledges.

Sherrone Moore said he was going to be more aggressive with recruiting and the Wolverines have been coming out of the dead period. Recruits will start taking visits this spring and one that will be visiting Michigan football is four-star wide receiver Talyn Taylor. Out of Geneva, Illinois, Taylor is 6-foot, 165 pounds, and ranks 114th overall in 2025 according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings.

The Wolverines face some stiff competition for Taylor, who will visit Ann Arbor on April 7th. The four-star wide receiver is ranked 30th overall via 247 Sports own rankings and will visit Georgia, Ohio State, and Notre Dame this spring according to Adam Gorney.

Another major target on offense announced an official visit earlier this week and you can feel the board for the 2025 class starting to come together. Taylor would have to be near the top in terms of wide receivers and it will be interesting to see if Michigan football can gain any traction during his visit next month.
