Michigan football announces 2024 official schedule

The Big Ten, as well as other Power Five conferences, has seen a huge shakeup this year. Needless to say, the Wolverines 2024 schedule is going to look very different from what Michigan fans are used to. Recently, Michigan football announced the official schedule for the 2024 season which features a lot of new faces in the Big Ten.

In recent years, Michigan football has received criticism that their high records were in large part due to a low strength of schedule. The 2024 season will certainly be an opportunity to prove these critics wrong, as the Wolverines are slated to match up against some of the top teams in college football.

Michigan will face Texas, USC, Washington, Oregon, and Ohio State next year, with two out of the five games being road trips. All five of those teams were recently ranked in the latest College Football Playoff ranking.

The Wolverines will start the season with five straight home games before their first road test of the season against Washington. Michigan will then go into their bye week before facing Illinois on the road.

In total, Michigan will have eight home games. While Michigan won’t have to travel too much, they will face some challenging games on the road, most notably Washington and Ohio State. The Ohio State matchup will remain as the last regular season game of the year for Michigan.
