Last weekend against Indiana, Michigan football freshman star running back Benjamin Hall led the Wolverines’ offense in a major way. During his team’s 52-7 win over the Hoosiers, Hall carried the football nine times for 58 yards — the most of any Michigan player in Week 7. Yesterday, senior superstar RB Blake Corum added to the hype surrounding Hall and his development since getting to Ann Arbor during the spring.
Michigan football freshman star hyped up by Blake Corum
Benjamin Hall was a standout freshman running back during the Wolverines’ spring game back in April. Since then, he has continued to impress, most recently carrying the football well against Indiana last weekend.
Blake Corum, who was a Heisman contender last fall and is still one of the top running backs in the game right now, is one of many people who are impressed with Ben Hall and his ability during his first year in the Maize and Blue.
“Ever since he got here, I knew he was gonna be great,” Blake Corum said of Benjamin Hall on Monday. “You know, I can’t wait to see how he transforms over the next couple of years. He’s gonna be one of the best to do it. He’s big, he’s strong, he’s quick. As we saw that Saturday, so, I was really impressed. You know, but he’s been doing that every day at practice. You know what I’m saying, so I wasn’t too surprised, but I was happy for him. He’s gonna be great, like I said.”
Ben Hall is undoubtedly a top name to watch for Michigan football fans; however, seeing as the RB room is as deep as it gets this fall, there is a good chance that Hall still sees limited reps. With that said, Kalel Mullings and CJ Stokes are both out for the time being, so chances to prove himself will be more readily available until the Wolverines’ other running backs return.
