Last Friday, it was announced that Cole Cabana, a Michigan football freshman star running back and the highest-rated recruit in the Wolverines’ 2023 recruiting class, has inked a new NIL deal. According to the NIL Deal Tracker, this young Wolverine has now partnered with Momentous, a performance supplement company.

Michigan football freshman star signs NIL deal

Cole Cabana is a hot name in Ann Arbor right now. The former four-star running back initially committed to the Wolverines as a member of the class of 2023, making him a star in-state recruit. According to 247 Sports, Cabana was ranked as the No. 21 running back in the nation and the No. 3 player in the state of Michigan.

Many Michigan football fans believe that Cabana is a player of the future for the Maize and Blue. He possesses the talent and skillset that the Wolverines need to remain in contention for national titles in the years to come.

This new NIL deal was managed by Valiant Management Group, although the exact dollar amount remains undisclosed. Over the past few months, Michigan football has been bolstering its NIL infrastructure, and recently, an increasing number of Wolverines have signed new NIL deals with notable companies.

Witnessing a star Michigan football freshman secure a deal before Week 1 of the 2023 season is a promising sign for the future of the program and its relationship with the new era of college football.
