Michigan football doesn’t have a great ranking right now in the 2025 recruiting class. But the key word there is right now. There is plenty of time for the Wolverines to build a stellar class and in the past few days, they have started to build some momentum.

Five-star wideout Derek Meadows talked about how his official visit was “incredible.” The Wolverines have also been projected to land two new commitments in the 2025 class. Jaylen Williams is one of those projections. He set up an official visit to Michigan football and it seems like U-M is back in control of that recruitment.

Maxwell Roy, a four-star defensive line like Williams, has also started trending toward a Michigan commitment. Recruiting experts from On3, 247 Sports, and Rivals have projected him to be a Wolverine.

Another elite wideout visits Michigan football

Andrew Marsh has been near the top of the 2025 receiver board for a while, but it felt like the Wolverines didn’t have much of a chance of landing Marsh, who is 6-foot-1, 173 ponds, and ranks 48th overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings for 2025.

Out of Katy, Texas, the seventh-ranked wideout in the 2025 class took an unofficial visit to Michigan on Wednesday according to Brice Marich of The Michigan Insider. Marsh has official visits scheduled with USC, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Texas. He also visited Washington last weekend.

Getting Marsh on campus at least shows that Michigan isn’t completely out of it. Looking at the other finalists, it feels like the Wolverines could make a move and become a true contender.

Commitments from Meadows and Marsh would certainly add some elite talent but U-M has to convince them they will be used. We’ll see if Marsh visits again and if the Wolverines want to land Meadows, they probably need to get him back on campus too.
