With the program’s recent success, Michigan football has become a highly polarizing topic for fans and haters this past season. After Harbaugh served his suspension for illegal sign-stealing from a low-level staffer, many were quick to delegitimize the success of the current season, even after the firing of staffer Connor Stallions. Ahead of this year’s national championship, Michigan football legend Charles Woodson came to the defense of the Maize and Blue and fired back at the outside noise.

Michigan football legend Charles Woodson Fires Back At Cheating Claims On Rich Eisen Show

Charles Woodson is one of the greatest defenders to ever play college football. Recently, the Michigan football legend spoke on the Rich Eisen Show about Michigan football’s ongoing cheating claims.

“If people are going to call us cheaters, then we might as well go win it all,” Charles Woodson told Rich Eisen. “You looked at the video with Coach Harbaugh talking about JJ McCarthy and trying to compare him to Tom Brady. Here’s the one thing I know about Tom Brady, is that every time anybody mentions Tom Brady, they call him a seven-time Super Bowl champion. Nobody ever says anything about all the talk about cheating, that the New England Patriots were supposed to have done. They just say he’s a seven-time Super Bowl champion.

“So, for our guys, if they’re going to call you cheaters, you might as well win it — and then guess what, forever they have to call you a national champion. So, go get it done.”

Michigan football will have its chance to get it all done this Monday when they play the Washington Huskies. Kickoff in Houston for the national championship is set for 7:30 PM EST.
