With JJ McCarthy leaving the program, there is a lot of talk about who will take over as the Wolverines’ starter in 2024. While four-star Michigan football quarterback commit Jadyn Davis, a 2024 signee, will likely not be ready, he is still one of the most-anticipated players in Michigan’s latest class. That said, Davis is once again on the decline in national rankings, this time in the final On3 ratings for the 2024 recruiting rankings.

Michigan football quarterback falls in final 2024 recruiting rankings

In just a few months, the 2024 Michigan football signing class will officially be college freshmen and will gear up in the Maize and Blue for spring ball — the first step of preparation ahead of the coming season. From a new coach to a new quarterback, the Wolverines are going through a lot of changes right now, and the 2024 season is full of unknowns, even when it comes to the most touted commit in the 2024 class: Jadyn Davis.

Jadyn Davis won Mr. Football North Carolina honors and more throughout his senior season, further pushing the hype that has surrounded him by Michigan fans since his commitment back in March of 2023. Of course, at the time, he was a composite five-star and one of the top quarterback prospects nationally, though that is no longer the case.

Jadyn Davis drops another 19 spots to mid-230s

When it comes to the final On3 rankings for the 2024 recruiting class, the Michigan football quarterback signee once again finds himself falling in the ranks. In fact, Davis is down another 19 spots in the final rankings, dropping from No. 218 nationally to No. 237. On top of that, he is ranked as the No. 17 quarterback in his class and the No. 11 player in the state of North Carolina — yes, despite the fact that he won numerous awards for being the state’s top player.

Only time will tell how accurate On3’s scouting report of Jadyn Davis turns out to be, but for now, the Michigan football signee is trending downward in the final rankings for his recruiting cycle.
