There are just 21 days until the new season starts for the Wolverines — at the moment, fall camp is underway in Ann Arbor, with the program putting the finishing touches on preparation for the coming season. According to offensive lineman Trevor Keegan, who addressed the media at Schembechler Hall yesterday, Michigan football RB Donovan Edwards is looking bigger, faster, and stronger than ever before.

Donovan Edwards is as confident as ever heading into the coming college football season. This year, Edwards is expected to do more than just run the ball as fans have seen in years past — Edwards is an all-around athlete and should see a role as a receiver as well.

According to veteran lineman Trevor Keegan, who has been a core member of both of the Wolverines’ Joe Moore Award-winning offensive lines this decade, Edwards has a new look this year. Keegan addressed the media yesterday and promptly stated that this elite Michigan football RB is looking bigger, faster, and stronger than he ever has before.

“What I see from Donovan, it looks like he’s gained at least 20 pounds or something,” Trevor Keegan said of Michigan football RB Donovan Edwards. “He’s running harder, he’s running faster, he looks stronger … I think they (Donovan Edwards and Blake Corum) complement each other really well. Different style of play, but they complement each other really well.”

Running backs obviously mean a lot to Michigan football, which is something that Keegan also pointed out on Friday.

“They mean a lot,” Trevor Keegan said of junior Michigan football RB Donovan Edwards and senior Blake Corum. “In our program, we have Blake (Corum) and Dono (Donovan Edwards) — two of the best in the nation. They make us (the offensive line) look good. They trust us. You see interviews and stuff on Twitter like, ‘We trust our big guys,’ and it’s cool to see. We have a good relationship with them. It’s cool that they have our trust. We don’t really like them getting hit, so we like to take care of them.”
