The 2024 Michigan football recruiting class currently boasts 17 hard commits, more than any other team in the country, and ranks No. 2 in the 247 Sports composite rankings. June is bound to be a huge month for Michigan as it marks the start of the official visit season, and in turn, could mean many more commitments to come. So far, Jim Harbaugh’s approach of quality and quantity has set his program up for a great deal of success in the coming month.

For those unfamiliar with this year’s Michigan football recruiting class, it is regarded as one of the best that the Wolverines have ever assembled to this point. Right now, Harbaugh’s squad has 17 hard commits, including that of Jadyn Davis, an elite five-star quarterback who is set to be the foundation of this class.

In addition to Davis, Michigan football has 16 other commitments thus far — 10 are four-stars, and six are three-stars. The class has accumulated 250.12 recruiting points, which is about 12 more than the 3rd place Buckeyes, and boasts an average grade of 91.31.

No team has more commits than Michigan football recruiting does right now. That being said, the Wolverines have not sacrificed the quality of their class in the slightest, which has led to Michigan landing at No. 2 in the composite rankings ahead of June.

Michigan football recruiting is in an ideal place right now. The Wolverines have locked down their top target (Jadyn Davis) as well as loads of talent to surround him with. On top of that, Michigan’s class continues to rise in the rankings, with names like Blake Frazier and others skyrocketing in the newest rankings update.

One of the biggest pros of having a large recruiting class is that they help one another, which is evident with the 2024 Michigan football recruiting class. Standouts like Blake Frazier, Ben Roebuck, Jadyn Davis, and more have been as vocal as anyone on the recruiting trail thus far, further proving that this class has a special bond and is ready to bring a national championship home to Ann Arbor for the first time since 1997.
