Last night, the 2024 Michigan football recruiting class landed its 25th hard commitment of the cycle, adding four-star edge rusher Elias Rudolph to Jim Harbaugh’s elite class. The Wolverines are in great shape with this recruiting class right now and have been shifting around in the rankings after a series of major commitments over the previous months. Here is where the class stands right now, according to all three major recruiting outlets.
Michigan football recruiting sits outside of the top 5, according to the Industry Rankings
The only service that has Michigan football recruiting outside of the top 5 nationally right now is ON3, whose Industry Rankings pin the Wolverines’ class as the 6th best in the nation. Michigan trails Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Florida, and USC in the 2024 rankings right now, though it boasts a great deal more commitments than the rest thus far. Its 25 commits have an average rating of 89.96, and the class as a whole has an average grade of 91.586.
247 Sports Composite has Michigan just inside of the top 5
A few weeks ago, the 2024 Michigan football recruiting class climbed the ladder to earn the No. 1 spot in the 247 Sports composite rankings. Although the Wolverines no longer boast the nation’s top class, the Maize and Blue remain just inside the top 5, currently sitting at No. 4. While Jadyn Davis is no longer a five-star composite quarterback, Michigan football still appears to be in great shape, with an average rating of 90.69 and a class rating of 265.04.
Rivals is the highest on Michigan, ranking the Wolverines in the top 3
Rivals is the highest on the 2024 Michigan football recruiting class out of the three major recruiting services. While the Wolverines appear to be trending down according to the other services, Rivals still has the Maize and Blue in the top 3, ranking Michigan as the 3rd-best class in the nation right now. The Maize and Blue only trail Georgia and Ohio State in the Rivals rankings, further establishing the Wolverines as a title contender on the recruiting trail as well as on the football field. bitqt
