The 2025 Michigan football recruiting class is currently considered one of the best in the nation, ranked No. 4 in the country and No. 2 in the Big Ten, just one spot behind Penn State football. Today, the Wolverines added a new target to their recruiting board: Amaree Williams, a four-star recruit from the class of 2025 and a top 25 prospect. Williams hails from North Palm Beach, Florida, and is a product of The Benjamin School.

Michigan football recruiting offers top 25 recruit in the nation

Amaree Williams is a highly regarded national recruit, ranking among the top 25 players in his class according to the 247 Sports rankings. Despite being a rising high school junior, the four-star EDGE already boasts an impressive 6-foot-4, 200+ pound frame. He is rated as a four-star by every outlet, but as soon as the five-star ratings start getting handed out, Williams is expected to be in that conversation.

According to the 247 Sports rankings, Amaree Williams ranks as the No. 23 recruit nationally, the No. 3 EDGE in the class, and the No. 5 recruit in the state of Florida for the 2025 recruiting class. Williams has a long list of notable offers already — regional schools such as Florida and Florida State are pursuing him, as well as Big Ten powers like Penn State, Michigan, and more.

It is still early in Williams’ recruitment to start guessing where his interests lie, but if Jim Harbaugh’s recent recruiting success is any indication, Michigan football recruiting could become a major contender for Amaree Williams when the 2025 class comes to the forefront. For now, most national attention will remain on the 2024 class, as the Wolverines are currently ranked No. 1 overall in that regard.
