Michigan football has just about completed their running back group for the class of 2024. That’s allowed the coaching staff some time to turn their eyes to the class of 2025. Now, with Michigan football trending for four-star running Justin Baker, the Wolverines are well on their way to finding their next great ball carrier.

The Wolverines officially have two running back commits within their class of 2024. Four-star Jordan Marshall and three-star Micah Kaapana should be an elite duo well into the future.

Thanks to those two, the coaching staff now has the flexibility to begin looking to the class of 2025. One running back to keep an eye on might be Georgia-based four-star Justin Baker.

According to Rivals.com, Baker is a four-star and the No. 23 running back in the country. The Buford, GA product stands at 5-foot-10, 200 pounds, and has offers from several of the best programs in the country, including Alabama, Georgia and Penn State.

This morning, Michigan football received excellent news, as Josh Henschke of the Maize & Blue Review released a FutureCast predicting Baker to the Wolverines.

Heading into his junior season, Baker is already looking like a bruiser with the potential to be elite at the next level. Not only does he already possess a good amount of power, but he also has the agility to dodge defenders as they come.

In many ways, he looks like a taller version of Blake Corum when he was coming out of high school. While he’s no Blake Corum yet, if anyone can get him there, it will be the Wolverines, who are quickly becoming “RBU.”

This would be a major recruiting victory for coach Jim Harbaugh and the entire Michigan football program. It’s still early in the recruiting process, but the Wolverines are already in excellent shape here.
