HOUSTON — The National Championship Game is about 24 hours away now, and with the matchup against No. 2 Washington fast-approaching, tomorrow’s Michigan football uniform combo was revealed. Unlike Michigan’s past two College Football Playoff matchups — a loss to TCU and a win over Alabama — the Wolverines are opting for a new combo: the “big game blues.”

Michigan football uniform combo revealed for National Championship Game

Michigan football loves to wear its all-blue uniforms when playing in big games — it’s worn them against Ohio State twice, against Penn State in 2022, in the College Football Playoff in 2021, and more. While Michigan had custom Rose Bowl uniforms, showcasing the game’s iconic nature, the Maize and Blue are back to a more regular look for the title game.

Tomorrow, when Michigan football takes the field against Washington, it will be donning the all-blue uniforms for the first time since its 30-24 victory over the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes — its third win over OSU in a row. Matter of fact, the Wolverines’ first debuted the Jordan Brand all-blue uniforms against Washington during its 31-10 victory over the Huskies back in 2021.

Below is the official announcement from Michigan football’s Twitter account.

Per ESPN’s Football Power Index, Michigan football has a 74.3 percent chance of downing Washington and winning its first National Championship since 1997; Las Vegas also has the Wolverines as the favorite, currently listing Michigan as -4.5 against the No. 2 Huskies.
