This weekend, Aaron Scott, the No. 1 recruit in Ohio and a top target for Ohio State, will be making the trip to Ann Arbor for an official visit. Undoubtedly, this weekend poses a significant challenge for the Michigan Wolverines, as Jim Harbaugh and his coaching staff aim to further strengthen their already impressive 2024 recruiting class.

Aaron Scott, the No. 1 recruit in Ohio for the 2024 recruiting cycle, is a major recruiting target for both the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes. This weekend, Scott will be one of Jim Harbaugh’s top priority recruits as the Maize and Blue look to block the Buckeyes from landing yet another top-ranked target.

Today, it was revealed that Bryce West, the No. 2 recruit in Ohio, will be deciding between two programs: Michigan and Ohio State. Both he and Aaron Scott are currently leaning towards the Buckeyes, although recent reports indicate a growing interest in the Michigan football recruiting efforts, which have been impressive thus far, to say the least.

It seems to be now or never for the Michigan Wolverines in the pursuit of Aaron Scott.

As this weekend marks an official visit for the No. 1 recruit in Ohio, it is a crucial test for the Michigan Wolverines. Why? Because if Jim Harbaugh and his team don’t make a huge impression this weekend, there is a good chance that Aaron Scott will end up in Columbus with Ryan Day, seeing as his official visit with the Buckeyes is scheduled for the following weekend.

If Michigan football wants to have a shot at retaining Scott’s interest and potentially even stealing the top-ranked Ohio recruit in this cycle, this weekend must go well in all aspects. Keep an eye on Scott’s upcoming trip to Ann Arbor; if he does choose the Maize and Blue, it would arguably be Jim Harbaugh’s biggest recruiting victory as the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, a title he has held for almost nine seasons now.
