Michigan football recruiting target Bryce West is down to two remaining programs: the Wolverines and Buckeyes.

Today, four-star defensive back Bryce West, an elite Michigan football recruiting target in the 2024 class, announced that he is officially down to two schools and canceled his upcoming visit with the USC Trojans. This is a major development for the Wolverines, who have been pushing to pry West from Ryan Day’s grasp for quite some time now.

According to the ON3 rankings, Bryce West is a four-star defender in the 2024 class, ranking as the No. 52 recruit in the nation, the No. 7 cornerback in the 2024 class, and the No. 2 recruit in the state of Ohio.

West mentioned that he will be canceling this weekend’s trip to USC and instead heading back to Columbus to visit Ohio State again. He was just in Ann Arbor for a weekend that generated tons of national buzz around the Maize and Blue, reportedly impressing a number of the best recruits on the market, including West.

“It’s a battle between Michigan and Ohio State,” Bryce West said today, according to ON3. He also stated that he is looking to announce a decision sometime in early July, making this a massive recruitment to watch for Michigan football recruit fans throughout the remainder of the month.
