It has been a busy week of Michigan Wolverines football recruiting news thus far. Earlier this week, Jim Harbaugh secured two more four-star commitments for the 2024 recruiting class, further strengthening Michigan’s roster. With these two new additions, the Wolverines’ recruiting class has now surpassed Ohio State and Georgia, landing them in the coveted top spot nationally. However, despite having the number one-ranked class, Michigan football isn’t resting on its laurels just yet. In fact, there’s been a recent development in the form of a new target: Texas cornerback Braylon Conley out of Atascocita High School.

Michigan Wolverines football recruiting: Jim Harbaugh offers Texas defensive back

Braylon Conley, a defensive back from Humble, TX, is currently a three-star composite recruit in the 2024 class, per the 247 Sports composite rankings. He is ranked as the No. 451 recruit in the class, the No. 44 defensive back nationally, and the No. 76 recruit in the state of Texas.

Conley has already received numerous offers from top-tier programs, including Auburn, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and USC, among others. Most recently, the Michigan Wolverines offered him a scholarship on Wednesday, adding to his already extensive list of offers.

After a great informative conversation with @JayHarbaugh I am blessed to have received a offer from the University of Michigan #GoBlue,” he said in a Tweet earlier this week.

How is the 2024 recruiting class shaping up thus far?

As of now, the Michigan Wolverines’ 2024 football recruiting class boasts 14 hard commitments, including one five-star, ten four-stars, and three three-stars, making it the top-ranked class in the country. The class seems to be recruiting itself, with the Wolverines trending for numerous other top-rated targets.

Michigan’s recruiting class is currently ranked No. 1 according to both the composite rankings and the Rivals Team Rankings. While it’s unlikely for the class to stay at the top, most experts believe it will finish in the top-3 or top-5.
