While the Wolverines’ 2024 recruiting class is getting a lot of attention right now, the 2025 Michigan football recruiting class is doing well too. This week, it was confirmed that David Sanders — a teammate of Jadyn Davis and the nation’s No. 1 recruit — has confirmed that he will visit Ann Arbor over the summer, which could be massive for Jim Harbaugh’s recruiting efforts.
Sanders has a lot of ties to Michigan football; his high school offensive line coach played football for the Maize and Blue years ago, and his current high school quarterback is none other than five-star Michigan football recruit Jadyn Davis, who committed at the end of last month. There is undoubtedly interest in the Wolverines, and impressing him during this summer visit will be essential.
2025 Michigan football recruiting: No. 1 recruit confirms summer visit
According to the 247 Sports rankings, David Sanders is the No. 1 recruit in the nation. He currently serves as Jadyn Davis’s blindside protector at Providence Day High School in North Carolina. With Jadyn Davis’s commitment already locked in for Michigan football in the 2024 class, Sanders could be heavily persuaded to join his quarterback in Ann Arbor.
According to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider, Sanders will be in Ann Arbor this summer on a massive recruiting visit. There is no date set, but according to Sanders, he is certain that a Michigan football recruiting visit lies in his future during the coming months.
“Sometime during the summer, I know for sure.” Sanders said. “They wanted me to come up for the spring, but it was a busy schedule. But I got to get up there this summer.”
According to the 247 Sports rankings, David Sanders is the No. 1 offensive tackle, No. 1 player in North Carolina, and the No. 1 recruit in the nation for the 2025 cycle. Needless to say, this could be a massive get for the 2025 Michigan football recruiting class this summer.
