This weekend will mark the final slate of official visitors for the 2024 Michigan football recruiting efforts. The Wolverines have been performing well on the recruiting trail so far. However, as June draws to a close, there are still a few loose ends for the Maize and Blue. Among the visitors, there are three significant uncommitted targets who will be arriving on campus shortly. The addition of these players would be a massive boost for Michigan in this recruitment cycle.

Major uncommitted targets coming to campus for Michigan football recruiting visit

In addition to the uncommitted targets, there are also several top recruits who have already committed to Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines and will be visiting campus. This is promising news for Michigan, as the presence of these committed players may strengthen the team’s recruiting pitch.

Gatlin Bair — four-star wide receiver

One of the top offensive targets for Michigan football recruiting in this cycle is Gatlin Bair, a four-star wide receiver from Idaho. Bair is highly regarded and is currently ranked as the No. 44 recruit in the nation according to composite rankings. His commitment would be a significant acquisition for the Maize and Blue, especially considering the presence of a five-star quarterback on the team’s roster. Recently, Bair announced his list of finalists, and the Wolverines were named among the top contenders.

Jameer Grimsley — four-star cornerback

Jameer Grimsley, a highly sought-after recruit ranked in the top 200 for the 2024 cycle, is another significant uncommitted target who will be visiting Michigan football this weekend. While Grimsley has shown interest in Florida State and Penn State, Michigan has a promising opportunity to make an impression during his visit. Industry rankings designate Grimsley as a four-star cornerback, ranking him as the No. 198 recruit nationally and the No. 14 player in the state of Florida. Securing the commitment of this major blue-chip target would be a significant achievement for Jim Harbaugh’s current recruiting class.

Terhyon Nichols — four-star cornerback

Terhyon Nichols, a highly regarded four-star cornerback in the class of 2024, is showing signs of leaning towards Michigan football as one of their top choices. According to the Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Wolverines are among the top-2 teams leading in the race for his commitment. Jim Harbaugh has been actively pursuing several highly ranked recruits from Ohio in this recruiting cycle, and securing Nichols would be a significant victory for Michigan football.

While Nichols ranks just outside the top five players in the state, his commitment would be a major accomplishment for the Wolverines on the recruiting trail. Additionally, considering the potential commitments of Aaron Scott and Bryce West to Ohio State, landing another talented defensive back from Ohio in this class holds great importance for the Maize and Blue.
