Many Michigan football stars on both sides of the football have made an appearance on the injury report so far this fall. That said, most of the Wolverines’ banged-up players are back on the field in some capacity — these four are all still working through something, though will likely see a limited role in Week 6 at Minnesota. Keep an eye on Mike Sainristil, Rod Moore, Mason Graham, and Myles Hinton this weekend.

Which Michigan football stars could play through injury this weekend?

Here are the four Michigan football stars who could be playing through injury in a few days against Minnesota.

Myles Hinton — right tackle

Myles Hinton began the year as the Wolverines’ starting right tackle; however, against Rutgers, something appears to have hindered Hinton. The offensive line is still being changed around quite a bit despite being six weeks into the 2023 season, and with Hinton fighting through something right now, he will not be getting 100% of the reps.

While it is unknown how close the Stanford transfer is to being healthy right now, if he does manage to get back into the game, he will remain limited this weekend.

Mike Sainristil — cornerback

Team captain and veteran defensive back Mike Sainristil was the star of the show for Michigan football in Week 4 against Rutgers. That said, Sainristil left the game early against the Scarlet Knights with some kind of injury. Last weekend, he only saw the field for 16 snaps — far fewer than Will Johnson (33) and Josh Wallace (43), and he could be quite limited once again at Minnesota.

This week, it was confirmed that the Michigan football defender was playing through something at Nebraska; we expect more of the same this weekend.

Rod Moore — safety

Another Michigan football standout who is still fighting his way back into the lineup is star safety Rod Moore, who is one of the top-graded players in the Big Ten conference. Like Sainristil, Moore has been limited as of late, only seeing 17 snaps against Nebraska.

While Moore will still be playing against Minnesota, the Michigan football star is likely going to be limited once again.

Mason Graham — defensive tackle

Over the past few weeks, Michigan football has been without Mason Graham — the last time the Wolverines’ star defensive tackle saw the field was against Bowling Green in Week 3. For the Maize and Blue, having Graham back on the field is going to be huge in stopping the run and putting stress on the interior of the Gophers’ offensive line. That said, don’t be surprised is he, too, is limited or still playing through something as Michigan works him back into the lineup.
