Chris Ewald, a highly touted linebacker prospect from Florida, is a prominent four-star Michigan football commit in the 2025 recruiting class. However, recent reports indicate that Ewald intends to explore a few new options next month with a series of visits, even though he has already committed to Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.

Four-star Michigan football commit Chris Ewald announces June visit slate despite commitment

In a recent Twitter announcement, Chris Ewald shared his plans for a series of visits scheduled for next month. The visits will culminate in a return trip to Ann Arbor on June 22nd, where he will visit his current team, the Michigan Wolverines.

While it is important to approach this development with caution, as it may not necessarily indicate a negative outlook for Michigan football, it does raise some concerns given Ewald’s status as one of the top commits in the Wolverines’ 2025 recruiting class.

Ewald’s announcement included five visit dates, all of which involve prestigious programs. This suggests that the Wolverines will face stiff competition in maintaining his interest throughout the month of June.

Chris Ewald, the highly regarded four-star commit for Michigan football, has announced his visit schedule for June. On June 1st, he will visit Miami, followed by Tennessee on June 2nd, Florida State on June 8th, and USC on June 14th. His visits will conclude with a trip back to Michigan football on June 22nd.

Industry rankings place Chris Ewald as a top 100 prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, specifically ranking him as the No. 91 recruit nationwide, the No. 8 cornerback, and the No. 18 recruit in the state of Florida. While his interest in exploring other teams is understandable, it is crucial for the Wolverines to make every effort to maintain his focus and commitment to Ann Arbor throughout the next two years.
