Last weekend, five-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo — a major target for the Maize and Blue in the class of 2024 — took his official visit to Ann Arbor. Following his impressive trip, the top-ranked Michigan Wolverines recruiting target had good things to say about the program; he also stated that he fits in with the Wolverine offense, which appears to be a good sign of things to come.

Good news for Michigan Wolverines recruiting as five-star ‘fits in’ with the Maize and Blue offense.

Now, to be clear, Ryan Wingo feels like a long shot for the Michigan Wolverines’ recruiting efforts in the 2024 class. That being said, the door is not closed just yet, and a successful visit may have sparked more interest with this major five-star wide receiver.

Following Wingo’s official visit with the Maize and Blue last weekend, he had some positive things to say about the Michigan Wolverines, including that he fits in well with the Michigan offense. This comes as a surprise to many, considering that Sherrone Moore and the offensive unit love to run the ball in what many believe is a “boring” offense, yet Wingo appears to feel differently.

“I think I fit in their offense pretty good as a deep threat when they sling the ball around,” Wingo said, per ON3.

Five-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo by the numbers.

Michigan Wolverines’ football team is on the right track with their latest recruitment efforts. If they can continue to attract some of the nation’s top wide receivers, such as five-star Ryan Wingo, new quarterback Jadyn Davis and the Michigan offense will be in excellent hands for many years to come.

Ryan Wingo is a highly sought-after five-star player in the class of 2024, and he’s ranked No. 7 in the class, No. 2 among wide receivers, and No. 2 in the state of Missouri, according to the 247 Sports rankings.
