Aaron Scott is a top Michigan football recruiting target heading into the final week of official visits. It has been a fruitful month for the Wolverines thus far, who boast 22 hard commitments and counting as June wraps up. This weekend, Scott is going to be in Columbus for an official visit with the Ohio State Buckeyes. He recently left Ann Arbor, and it seems that the decision is now between Michigan and Ohio State.

Here is the latest update on Scott’s recruitment status.

Michigan football recruiting: Can the Wolverines lock down Aaron Scott?

Landing Aaron Scott would be a significant achievement for Michigan football recruiting in the 2024 cycle. The Wolverines have already succeeded in securing a commitment from Jordan Marshall, a highly sought-after four-star running back who was previously a target for Ohio State. Now, Michigan aims to secure two more major victories in Ohio by adding Bryce West and Aaron Scott, who are ranked as the No. 1 and No. 2 recruits in the state, respectively.

Recently, Scott visited Ann Arbor for an official visit with the Michigan Wolverines, and according to reports, the visit went extremely well. However, the prevailing sentiment suggests that Ohio State holds a strong advantage, given that Scott hails from Ohio. As he heads into his official visit with the Buckeyes this weekend, the outlook isn’t particularly favorable for Michigan, despite their exceptional recent efforts.

At present, Michigan remains in contention, but it seems that Ryan Day and his coaching staff are poised to secure Scott’s commitment this weekend. If Scott leaves Columbus without announcing his commitment, there might still be a glimmer of hope for Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines. However, for now, it appears that Michigan is on the outside looking in.

According to the ON3 rankings, Aaron Scott is the No. 13 recruit in the nation, the No. 2 cornerback in the class, and the No. 1 recruit in Ohio. Without question, Scott will remain a top Michigan recruit until he ultimately makes a college decision, so this is a huge recruitment for Michigan fans to keep an eye on.
