Just over a week ago, a top Ohio State target, Bryce West, was in Ann Arbor for an official visit — a visit that went incredibly well, I must add. Next weekend, West is scheduled to be in Columbus and is reportedly considering only two programs: the Wolverines and Buckeyes. Michigan football recruiting has been eyeing West for quite some time, and due to his impressive trip, he is now reportedly heavily considering returning to Ann Arbor for an unofficial visit just days after leaving campus. This is a significant development for the Maize and Blue recruiting efforts, which seem to be gaining momentum at the moment.

Massive update for Michigan football recruiting with top Ohio State target Bryce West

Today, BuckeyeScoop.com reported that Bryce West, a significant recruiting target for Ohio State and Michigan football, may be making a return trip to Ann Arbor for the next few days. As I mentioned earlier, West has narrowed down his choices to just two schools and recently completed his official visit to Ann Arbor about a week ago.

Moreover, he has an upcoming official visit scheduled with the Ohio State Buckeyes, the team that many believe he will ultimately choose, which adds further intrigue to this situation.

Bryce West is one of the top recruits in the 2024 class and is a high-priority prospect for Michigan football. If the Wolverines can successfully sway West, who is the top-ranked recruit in the state of Ohio, it would be a significant victory for several reasons.

First and foremost, Bryce West carries great prestige in this recruiting class, ranking among the top 50 recruits according to 247 Sports. He is a highly sought-after blue-chip cornerback that the Wolverines would love to add to their roster. Secondly, securing West’s commitment would mark Jim Harbaugh’s second recruiting victory over Ohio State in this cycle alone. Earlier this year, the Maize and Blue managed to acquire Jordan Marshall, a highly sought-after running back, from the Buckeye state.

While nothing has been finalized yet, this development is a major storyline to monitor closely regarding Michigan football and its chances of landing the No. 1 recruit in Ohio. Blue by Ninety will provide up-to-date coverage of this recruitment and much more as it unfolds in the coming days.
