The Michigan Wolverines are currently excelling in the 2024 recruiting class, currently holding the No. 1 spot in the national rankings, among other accomplishments. Today, a plethora of new Michigan football recruiting target news has surfaced, including a new commitment date for one of Jim Harbaugh’s top 2024 recruiting targets: four-star wide receiver Channing Goodwin.

Major Michigan football recruiting target announces commitment date

The Michigan football recruiting class was recently named a finalist for Channing Goodwin, a major wide receiver target in the 2024 recruiting class and a top prospect for Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines on the recruiting trail — he is also a top teammate of Jadyn Davis, Michigan’s five-star 2024 quarterback commit.

Goodwin, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound prospect from North Carolina, is a four-star recruit according to 247 Sports. He is currently ranked as the No. 241 player in the country and the No. 38 wide receiver. Moreover, if he decides to join the Michigan football recruiting team, he already has a connection with the Wolverines’ future starting quarterback.

In today’s game, such connections can prove to be invaluable, just as with the duo of Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, who played together at LSU. Should Goodwin opt for the Wolverines, he will have a definite advantage. Furthermore, as a three-sport athlete with exceptional athleticism, he brings even more to the table.

Today, he announced that he will choose a college destination on May 7th (this Sunday) at 4:00 PM — the Wolverines currently appear to be in the lead in his recruitment, so save the date, Michigan football fans.
