About 25 minutes from Ann Arbor is Belleville High School, home of Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 recruit in the nation in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Michigan football appears to be in great shape right now when it comes to Underwood’s recruitment. If the Wolverines can land him, they may be able to go from five-star JJ McCarthy to five-star Jadyn Davis to five-star Bryce Underwood. Today, he released a tweet that seemingly lists the Wolverines as one of his top contenders.

Michigan football in great shape with No. 1 recruit in the nation

“Decisions, decisions,” is a simple message that came from the No. 1 recruit in the nation this afternoon following recent visits with the Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers. Bryce Underwood posted this message with four schools depicted on his Twitter account: Michigan, Georgia, LSU, and Ohio State, which may be his top-four teams right now.

Additionally, according to the ON3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Michigan football currently leads in his recruitment, boasting a 16% lead over the program’s competition in this race. Underwood has made numerous trips to Ann Arbor thus far, and seeing as the Wolverines are right in his backyard, there are undoubtedly many more to come.

According to ON3, Bryce Underwood is the No. 1 recruit in the nation. He is also the consensus No. 1 recruit in Michigan and the No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 recruiting class. Right now, there is no bigger target for the Maize and Blue than Underwood on the recruiting trail, and if today’s tweet is any indication, Jim Harbaugh and his staff appear to be poised to make a run for his commitment in the coming months.

The entire nation appears to be in on this race, and if Michigan football plays its cards right, the No. 1 recruit in the nation could be the next great Wolverine quarterback.
