At the end of this month, a top recruiting target for Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines will announce his college decision. Lately, many Michigan football commits have been making a strong late push for Aaron Scott, a four-star cornerback and the No. 1 player in Ohio, as his commitment date approaches.

Current Michigan football commits are making a push for Aaron Scott

Aaron Scott is a significant target for Michigan football in the 2024 recruiting class. Alongside Bryce West, a four-star athlete and the No. 2 player in Ohio, he was among Jim Harbaugh’s top priorities for this cycle; however, West recently chose to commit to Ohio State. As we approach Aaron Scott’s decision date in late July, it seems that the Buckeyes have an advantage in his recruitment — nevertheless, the Wolverines have made a strong and seemingly successful late push.

According to Aaron Scott himself, many of the current 2024 Michigan football commits have been leading the charge in this late push ahead of his announcement.

“All of the commits have been hitting me up, texting me, sending me the ‘M’ emoji, or just saying ‘villain,” Aaron Scott said, per The Wolverine. “I love it. Change the narrative.”

If Aaron Scott commits to Michigan football, he may very well be the top recruiting win that Jim Harbaugh has ever seen during his time as head coach. After defeating the Buckeyes in back-to-back seasons, it appears that Michigan has surpassed Ohio State as the Big Ten’s top team — landing the No. 1 player in Ohio for the 2024 recruiting class could be the cherry on top for the Maize and Blue, who are chasing another conference title and more this fall.

According to the On3 rankings, Aaron Scott is the No. 29 player in the nation, the No. 4 cornerback in the class, and the No. 1 player in Ohio.
