The Michigan football sign-stealing scandal, which was allegedly led by suspended staffer Connor Stalions, has headlined the sports news world for over a week now. With reports of Stalions looking to scout the Clemson Tigers surfacing earlier this week, the famed ACC powerhouse decided to troll the Wolverines during their matchup against NC State on Saturday afternoon.

The Clemson Tigers lost to the NC State Wolfpack this afternoon, falling to 4-4 overall on the year. While the Tigers took an L on the field, their mascots took a W in the public eye when they trolled the Michigan football sign-stealing scandal before the game.

Ahead of this afternoon’s ACC conference matchup, Clemson’s mascots were dressed in Maize and Blue, holding “top secret” play cards with seemingly stolen signs. The play cards were labeled “Top Secret NC State Signs” with “Go Blue” promptly written across the bottom of the card.

Michigan football doesn’t have a game this weekend, but when Purdue comes to town next weekend to kick off a crucial four-game stretch, expect the Wolverines to come out swinging. With the media, social media, and even non-related schools coming after the Maize and Blue like this, Michigan will likely be as motivated as ever against Purdue, Penn State, Maryland, and Ohio State — especially seeing as a Big Ten title, College Football Playoff berth, and national championship run is still on the table for Jim Harbaugh and his squad.
