Jim Harbaugh has assembled an impressive 2023 Michigan football transfer portal class thus far. For the Wolverines, these transfers are projected to make a world of difference this fall as the program chases its first national title in decades. This week, it was confirmed that Michigan will be hosting a major Big Ten portal target — coveted linebacker Nigel Glover of Northwestern.

Michigan football will host notable transfer portal linebacker target this weekend

The Northwestern football hazing scandal has rocked the world of Big Ten football, with long-time Wildcat head coach Pat Fitzgerald being let go recently. Since then, a few of his former players have entered the transfer portal, including 6-foot-3 linebacker Nigel Glover.

Glover, who committed to Northwestern in April of 2022, was a four-star recruit, ranking among the top 250 players in his class and the top 10 recruits in Ohio. He has not seen much action but is thought to be a top transfer portal target nationally and has already scheduled visits with a number of the Big Ten’s top teams.

This weekend, it has been reported that this coveted Big Ten transfer portal linebacker will be in Ann Arbor, MI, for a crucial official visit with Michigan football. So far, the Wolverines are looking loaded across the board, but it has become clear that Jim Harbaugh and his program want even more depth and talent across the board — especially at linebacker.

Glover is a native of Dayton, OH, and has already garnered some interesting national attention. Aside from Michigan football, some of the schools that are jumping into the race include Kentucky, Illinois, West Virginia, and more.
