For the first time in nearly three decades, your Michigan Wolverines are National Champions! Heading into next year, the roster may experience a great deal of turnover as veterans and standout juniors alike will have some big NFL decisions to make. After Monday’s National Championship Game victory, we checked in on a Michigan football NIL fund known as the “Those Who Stay” fund, and unsurprisingly, it’s thriving right now.

Michigan football NIL “Those Who Stay” fund is thriving after National Championship

The goal of the “Those Who Stay” fund is to raise money for Michigan football players who are considering leaving U-M — whether that be through the transfer portal or to the NFL Draft. Its target of $1,000,000 for the Maize and Blue seemed like a huge goal to set, but now, it appears quite doable.

After winning the National Championship yesterday evening, downing No. 2 Washington 34-13 in Houston, TX, Michigan football fans have raised nearly $650,000 for the fund, which a few Wolverines have already explained could help sway them to stay in Ann Arbor for another season.

Rival schools, NFL are both enticing

Of course, there are also rival schools — perhaps Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame, and others — that have been trying to sway some Michigan football stars into the transfer portal by using NIL, which is another distraction that the “Those Who Stay” fund looks to combat.

If you would like to contribute, follow THIS LINK to Champions Circle’s page. Last year, Champions Circle used the “One More Year” fund to keep players like Blake Corum, Zak Zinter, and others with the Wolverines for another season — this year, the “Those Who Stay” fund looks to do more of the same.
