While Michigan football has a lot left to play for this season as they prepare for the College Football Playoff, they haven’t lost sight of maintaining a bright future for the program. Michigan football has been engaging in the transfer portal with some elite talents, including former five-star quarterback Dante Moore, who was recently predicted to go to Michigan.
Elite quarterback transfer target Dante Moore predicted to Michigan football by Bleacher Report
Since entering the transfer portal, Michigan fans have been all over Dante Moore as a potential successor to JJ McCarthy. The Wolverines were heavily involved in Moore’s high school recruitment, but Moore ultimately decided to commit to UCLA after decommitting to the Oregon Ducks.
Oregon was another school in contention for Moore’s transfer recruitment but with their addition of Dillon Gabriel from the portal, it seems Oregon is likely out of the running. With JJ McCarthy potentially leaving for the NFL, Moore could transfer to Michigan as a starter and lead an elite program for the 2024 season.
In a recent column from Brad Shepard of Bleacher Report, the Wolverines were predicted to land Moore. Shepard stated McCarthy’s potential exit as a strong case for the Wolverines to land Moore. Still, if McCarthy stays, Moore could decide to sit behind an elite talent to develop his skills, which is something Moore has said is important in his recruiting process.
While the recruiting battles in the portal are stronger than ever, Michigan’s roster is locked in and focused on their upcoming game against Alabama. The Wolverines will take on the Crimson Tide this New Year’s Day in Pasadena at 5 PM EST for a chance to go to the national championship.
