The top Michigan football recruiting target on the market right now — regardless of class — is five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood out of Belleville High School in MI. Landing Underwood may be a key factor in extending the team’s national title window for the Wolverines. He is currently ON3’s No. 1 recruit in America and is a major target for a number of top national programs; according to a recent report, Underwood has set a commitment date.

No. 1 Michigan football recruiting target sets commitment date

On January 6th of next year, five-star 2025 quarterback Bryce Underwood will be announcing his commitment. For Michigan football, this is a huge date to watch, as it could mark the Wolverines’ top recruiting victory… perhaps ever. Michigan has been recruiting quarterbacks well as of late, though adding the No. 1 recruit in America puts the Maize and Blue yet another step closer to competing for a national title in the years to come.

In a recent tweet, Bryce Underwood appeared to reveal the four top remaining programs in his recruitment. Those four include Michigan football, Ohio State, LSU, and Alabama. However, according to the ON3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Underwood is favoring the Maize and Blue right now.

According to the ON3 recruiting rankings, Bryce Underwood is the No. 1 player in America. He also ranks as the No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 class and the No. 1 player in the state of Michigan according to all major recruiting services.
