This weekend, Michigan football recruiting will be hosting one of the team’s biggest recruiting events — it’s time for the Wolverines’ annual ‘BBQ at the Big House,’ which will wrap up July and lead into fall camp for Jim Harbaugh and the coaching staff. With this significant weekend comes many major visitors, one of whom is the five-star cornerback, Dorian Brew, the No. 1 recruit in Ohio for the 2025 cycle.

Dorian Brew is one of the most sought-after recruits in the nation for the 2025 recruiting cycle. According to the 247 Sports composite ratings, Brew is a five-star cornerback and ranks among the nation’s top 30 players. He is pinned as the No. 28 player in the nation, the No. 5 cornerback in his class, and the No. 1 recruit in Ohio. Additionally, the ON3 industry rankings also rank Brew as the top prospect in the Buckeye State.

According to recent reports, this elite five-star prospect plans on spending his entire weekend in Ann Arbor for an unofficial visit with Michigan football recruiting and head coach Jim Harbaugh. Tomorrow, many more players will arrive in town for the Wolverines’ huge Sunday BBQ event at Michigan Stadium.

It is too early to tell where Brew, the No. 1 recruit in Ohio, will ultimately end up. That said, only four teams are currently considered “warm” in his recruitment (per 247) — Michigan football, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Texas A&M. This weekend could be yet another step in the right direction for the Maize and Blue, as they look to secure commitments from some of the country’s best prospects down the road.
