ANN ARBOR, Mich. — This weekend, Michigan football recruiting will be having a massive event with visits for the program’s annual ‘BBQ at the Big House.’ With this summer’s dead period coming to an end, Jim Harbaugh and his staff have a number of top targets coming to campus, including three elite quarterback recruits, one of whom is the current four-star QB commit, Jadyn Davis, from the 2024 class.

Michigan football recruiting to host 3 elite quarterback targets this weekend

While the Wolverines’ top recruiting target, Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 recruit in the nation, will not be in Ann Arbor this weekend (he is currently at LSU), the Wolverines still have a lot of quarterback talent coming to town for a crucial series of visits. First off, headlining this weekend is the current quarterback commit, Jadyn Davis, the crown jewel of Jim Harbaugh’s impressive top-5 2024 recruiting class.

Davis has been steadfast in his commitment to Michigan football, though you can never have too many visits with your future program, making this weekend a perfect chance for both Davis and the coaching staff to strengthen their bond. Additionally, Davis could be quite useful in recruiting the plethora of uncommitted players who will be in Ann Arbor alongside many current commits.

The other two elite quarterback targets that Michigan football recruiting will have in town are Akili Smith Jr. (four-star) and Ryan Montgomery (four-star). While Underwood is who the Wolverines want most right now, either of these top QB targets would satisfy Michigan’s need for a major win in the 2025 class.

Having this many incredible quarterback recruits on campus at the same time is a huge opportunity for Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football recruiting as they look to lock down yet another stellar class and continue to compete for Big Ten and national titles.
