Jadyn Davis, the five-star quarterback commit for Michigan football, needs some extra help on the offensive side of the football in the 2024 recruiting class. So far, Channing Goodwin, a four-star wide receiver from Providence Day High School — the same school as Jadyn Davis — is the top weapon for Davis to throw to. That being said, another major Providence Day wideout recently visited the campus, and new insider predictions are already rolling in for the Maize and Blue to secure a commitment from a second four-star wide receiver in this class: Jordan Shipp.

Michigan football trending for major blue chip wide receiver

Jordan Shipp is arguably the primary offensive target for Michigan football right now. If the Maize and Blue manage to secure his commitment, the Wolverines will have a five-star quarterback and two four-star wide receivers who all played four seasons of high school football together. Needless to say, this could be a massive development for Jim Harbaugh and Michigan in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Leading up to Shipp’s official visit with Michigan football this weekend, a few new crystal balls have been placed in favor of the Maize and Blue securing their second blue-chip wide receiver. Today, more great news emerged for the Wolverines, with a new Rivals prediction favoring Shipp choosing Michigan football. If this insider pick holds true, Jim Harbaugh’s 2024 recruiting class could significantly improve this summer.

According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Jordan Shipp is a four-star wide receiver ranked among the top 60 wideouts in the 2024 class and among the top 15 recruits in the state of North Carolina.

Providence Day (NC) is now six games into the 2023 high school football season, and so far, elite Michigan football quarterback commit Jadyn Davis (2024 recruiting class) is yet to throw an interception. Last Friday, Davis and his team won yet again, improving to 5-0 on the year, with the future Wolverine posting another impressive stat line and improving his season numbers once again.

Michigan football quarterback commit continues to impress

Jadyn Davis is an elite Michigan football quarterback commit, there is no doubt about that. While Davis was once a five-star, he was recently moved down (during the spring) in the rankings to four-star status, which is something that feels likely to change if he continues to play at this level.

Jadyn Davis posts another head-turning stat line

Last Friday, ahead of his future team’s victory over Rutgers, Jadyn Davis led Providence Day High School to yet another blowout victory. Once again, Davis pitched a near-perfect ball game, further bolstering his incredible 2023 season stat line. He completed 15 of his 18 passes (over 83% completion) for a whopping 277 yards and a trio of touchdowns with no interceptions.

Per MaxPreps, Jadyn Davis is now 85 for 111 (nearly 77% completion) for 1,485 passing yards, 17 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Additionally, Davis has one rushing touchdown this fall.

Michigan football 2024 recruiting class is in good hands

Right now, Davis remains a four-star; however, as the future Michigan football quarterback continues to shine, expect his rankings to rise ahead of National Signing Day for the 2024 recruiting class.

If you follow our recruiting coverage, you likely already know who I am about to talk about — elite Michigan football commit Jordan Marshall (RB), the No. 1 commit in the Wolverines’ 2024 recruiting class. Marshall, a four-star RB and the No. 2 player in the state of Ohio (On3), had himself yet another impressive game last night, breaking the 100+ yard mark on the ground for the sixth-straight game this fall.

Elite Michigan football commit Jordan Marshall goes off once again

Last night, Jordan Marshall played in his sixth high school football game of his senior season. Once again, Marshall went off, breaking the 100-yard mark and more en route to his team’s third victory of the 2023 season.

Marshall, a running back, is an elite Michigan football commit in the 2024 recruiting class and has truly been proving his insane talent level throughout the season. Last night, once again, Marshall impressed, rushing for 131 yards on 16 carries (7.9 yards per carry) and another touchdown during his team’s win. He also hauled in a pass for an additional three yards.

The 2024 recruiting class is looking good for the Wolverines

On the season, Jordan Marshall has now ran for over 100 yards and scored at least one touchdown in every game this season, which has many Michigan football fans buzzing about the future of the program.

Jordan Marshall is currently rated as a four-star commit by On3 — he ranks as the No. 31 player nationally, the No. 2 running back in his class, and the No. 2 player in the state of Ohio.

Four-star Michigan football target expected to commit soon

This four-star Michigan football target is about to announce his commitment.

The Wolverines are one of the five remaining teams for Brian Robinson, a blue-chip edge rusher from Ohio, who is reportedly close to making a college decision. Robinson, who was once a prominent four-star Michigan football target in the 2024 recruiting class, was initially strongly leaning towards Michigan, but now it appears to be more uncertain. His commitment would be a significant and unexpected acquisition for Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.

Four-star Michigan football target Brian Robinson close to a final call

According to recent reports, Brian Robinson is nearing a decision and aims to conclude his recruitment within the next week or so. Robinson is currently ranked as the No. 131 recruit in the 2024 recruiting class. Given that the Wolverines have recently lost a substantial amount of talent on the defensive side of the football, especially at edge rusher, Robinson could be a major addition for Jim Harbaugh.

It doesn’t appear that Robinson is favoring the Wolverines right now, although Michigan football recruiting has seen significant changes recently, so anything is possible. At one point this year, it seemed highly likely that Ann Arbor would be Robinson’s eventual destination; however, his recruitment has become much more complicated in recent months.

If Jim Harbaugh can land Robinson, it would be huge for the 2024 recruiting class

The remaining schools in contention, aside from Michigan football, are Maryland, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Penn State. According to the RPM, Robinson’s preferred landing spot right now is the Kentucky Wildcats, with the Maize and Blue firmly in contention at the No. 2 spot.

As per the On3 industry rankings, Robinson is a highly sought-after four-star Michigan football target, ranking as the No. 131 player nationally, the No. 9 edge rusher in the 2024 recruiting class, and the No. 5 player in the state of Ohio.
